Denise Schmitz
Vocals
Denise's favorite thing to do is sing. She has a Bachelor of Science in Vocal Music Education from Northwest Missouri State University and taught vocal music, K-12, for nine years in public or private schools. She led the Music Together early childhood music program in Des Moines and surrounding suburbs for 15 years and now has a thriving piano studio. ​She has been the lead singer of the classic rock band, Round A Bout, in the Des Moines area, since 2012. Prior to that, she sang at numerous weddings, in a praise band, and in a band with friends from Grinnell, IA. She currently owns The Brick Room in Grimes.
Tim Cooper
Vocals, Keyboard, Acoustic Guitar
Tim is a classically trained pianist, self taught guitarist, singer, songwriter, worship leader and former church Music Director. A home studio owner, he has released 3 CDs of original songs. For years his band, Tim Cooper & Friends, played in coffee shops, festivals, prisons and the Iowa State Fair. Since late 2021, he has played keys, guitar and sung vocals in Round A Bout.​
Tim firmly believes that music played from the heart is music that can touch the hearts of others. Sitting at a piano, especially, is where he has learned that his gentle and free flowing style can stir the emotions of listeners. He has done this in piano bars in such unusual places as the Canary Islands and on an overnight ferry from England to Spain!
